The setup of this book is completely preposterous, but Grant is such a good writer that she sold it to me - lock, stock and barrel. The hero and heroine are both wonderful characters and I was very engaged in watching them both learn and grow. Martha seemed to grow a little less, but for her character, it was mostly right. The subplots were interesting without taking away from the main romance. The dialogue was witty and there were many humorous parts. I found myself laughing out loud fairly often. Yet there was also deep feeling. Just as often, I found myself sighing.I "read" this in audiobook form. The narrator was excellent. Overall, a wonderful romance that will run you through the whole gamut of emotions. I have already purchased the next book in the series.
