In the Bleak Midwinter (Rev. Clare Fergusson, #1) - Julia Spencer-Fleming
Liked:* The main characters, Russ and Clare, were awesome. Clare especially was very complex and a strong woman without having to yell it at everybody.* The small town seems like a lot of fun. It's almost its own character.* There is budding romance but it's so subtle and well done. No crazy passionate love at first sight kind of thing. It's very really realistic.Liked Less:* I was able to put this book down. I did want to find out whodunit, but I didn't feel compelled to read even as the plot thickened. Sure, some mysteries start out kinda slow. I'm willing to deal with that, but usually by the end, I'm unable to put the book down until I know what happens. Hopefully it's just a first-in-the-series problem?
