Succubus Blues - Richelle Mead
I really enjoyed this book. I was expecting it to be a total fluff read, but it ended up being much deeper than that. At first, Georgina seemed to be yet another "sassy and sarcastic" supernatural heroine, but she is very well fleshed out. You learn a lot about her motivations and the dark past that led her down her current path. Yet the past does not dominate her, and her character flaws never go into "annoyingly damaged" territory. The plot was interesting and very well-paced. I never felt like the romance portions dragged down the storyline, which can be a problem with a book in this genre.Overall, two thumbs up and I can't wait to read the next one!
